Job Summary

As a Patent Attorney and authorized representative before the European Patent Office at BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT, you will manage a comprehensive portfolio of intellectual property matters with a focus on electrical and information technology. Your daily responsibilities include advising clients on technical inventions, drafting and filing national and international patent applications, and representing clients before the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA) and the European Patent Office (EPO). You will also conduct expert opinions on patent rights, perform patent searches, and supervise the work of junior staff and patent engineers. Required Skills

Education

University degree with an excellent scientific background in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Physics, or Communications Engineering; Qualification as a German Patent Attorney and/or European Patent Attorney.

Experience

  • Professional experience as an authorized representative before the German and/or European Patent Office
  • Extensive experience in the fields of electrical engineering, information technology, physics, or communications engineering
  • Initial experience in handling patent infringement cases
  • Proven track record in drafting, filing, and prosecuting patent applications at national and international levels
  • Experience in conducting patent searches and providing legal opinions
