Job Summary

This role involves working at the Technical University of Munich's Heinz Maier-Leibnitz (FRM II) research neutron source, one of the world's most advanced facilities. As a Postdoctoral Scientist, you will lead research focused on understanding and optimizing electrolytes for high-energy lithium-ion batteries. Your daily activities will include using sophisticated analytical methods such as neutron and X-ray diffraction, neutron depth profiling, and electrochemical characterization (half-cells) to study cathode structures and electrode behaviors. You will collaborate within a prestigious consortium including partners like BASF, VARTA, and STIHL.
