Job Summary

This role involves establishing and managing the new Core Facility for Transient Spectroscopy within the RESOLV Cluster of Excellence. As the Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for the procurement and setup of large-scale scientific equipment, ensuring smooth daily operations, and overseeing maintenance and laser safety protocols. You will play a pivotal role in supporting international researchers by providing technical guidance on measurements, data interpretation, and scientific evaluation. Beyond administrative management, the position offers the opportunity to lead training seminars and develop new methods in the field of time-resolved spectroscopy. This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of Solvation Science in a world-leading interdisciplinary research environment, contributing to both fundamental research and its practical applications. The position is initially fixed-term until the end of 2032, with a long-term extension intended.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or Diploma and a PhD in Chemistry, Physics, or a comparable scientific field.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in time-resolved laser spectroscopy
  • Proven experience in scientific data analysis and interpretation
  • Experience in managing laboratory operations and maintenance
  • Experience in instructing and supporting international researchers
  • Experience in teaching or leading scientific seminars

Additional
