Job Summary

As a Senior Professional System Engineer at the IT-Systemhaus of the Federal Employment Agency (BA), you will join the ERP Logistics Products unit to support one of Germany's largest integrated public sector ERP systems. Your daily responsibilities will involve the design, development, and testing of the EFA (Electronic Facility and Asset Management) system, focusing on SAP modules RE-FX and PS. You will independently plan, manage, and maintain IT infrastructures, analyze system requirements, and implement custom enhancements such as BADIs, User Exits, and Reports. Working within an agile framework (Scrum/SAFe), you will ensure system availability and security while guiding other team members. This position is particularly attractive due to its high flexibility, offering up to 80% remote work, a secure public sector contract, and the opportunity to work on large-scale social infrastructure projects across multiple locations in Germany.

Required Skills

Education

University degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in Computer Science or Business Informatics.

Experience

  • Several years of relevant professional experience in software development and system engineering
  • Extensive experience in ABAP development, including dialog programming, list processing, and unit testing
  • Proven experience in customizing and operating software solutions and IT infrastructures
  • Practical experience with SAP interfaces and integration of non-SAP sources
  • Experience in identifying and resolving complex system problems and software bugs
