Job Summary

As a Commissioning Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will play a pivotal role in the global energy transition by ensuring the successful deployment of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems. Your daily responsibilities include performing integration tests and functional checks of Control & Protection (C&P) hardware and software within a specialized test center near Nuremberg, as well as conducting on-site commissioning at international construction sites. You will be responsible for creating and executing test procedures for converter control systems, ensuring technical compliance, and managing documentation. This role offers a unique split between lab-based testing and field-based commissioning, providing a dynamic environment where you can influence the backbone of sustainable power grids. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the commissioning of industrial plants is preferred
  • Experience in project planning and testing using MATLAB/SIMULINK and Siemens SIMATIC is ideal
  • Professional background in power electronics, high-voltage systems, and automation technology
  • Experience in creating and executing test sequences and technical documentation
