Job Summary
This role involves shaping the future of urban development in Münster by integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Extended Reality (VR/AR) into the city's central geospatial data platform. As a specialist within the Surveying and Cadastral Office, you will develop long-term strategic roadmaps, research emerging market trends, and create functional prototypes and demonstrators. You will be responsible for defining technical IT interfaces for the Urban Data Platform and ensuring compliance with digital strategies and legal frameworks like GDPR. Required Skills
Education
University degree in an IT-related field (Computer Science, Media Informatics, or Geoinformatics) OR qualification for the general administrative service (Laufbahngruppe 2, 1. Einstiegsamt).
Experience
- At least 2 years of professional experience in IT or digitalization-related fields
- Professional experience in utilizing AI frameworks and tools
- Practical experience with Extended Reality (VR/AR/MR) technologies in research or development
- Experience in 3D modeling and the use of established game engines
- Familiarity with legal frameworks such as GDPR and the AI Act
- Foundational knowledge of Geospatial Data Infrastructures (GDI)
