Job Summary
This full-time, permanent position based in Leipzig involves managing construction projects for the Free State of Saxony within the Saxon Real Estate and Construction Management (SIB) department. The role focuses on structural engineering, open spaces, and transport infrastructure for both new constructions and renovations. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating external consultants and experts, preparing and reviewing planning documents according to HOAI, and handling the tendering and awarding of construction contracts. You will also be responsible for site supervision, acceptance of works, and warranty management. Required Skills
Education
Degree (Diploma/Bachelor) in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Road Construction, or a comparable engineering degree (e.g., Infrastructure Planning, Water Management, or Traffic Engineering).
Experience
- Professional experience in execution planning, specification, and awarding of construction services
- Experience in site supervision, acceptance, and settlement of construction projects
- Practical knowledge of technical regulations and construction law (VOB, HOAI)
- Experience in designing, evaluating, and optimizing technical engineering solutions
- Previous experience working in a public authority or planning office is advantageous

Additional
- Class B driver's license and willingness to drive service vehicles are required. Candidates must provide proof of German language proficiency at C1 level or have a German educational/vocational degree.
