Job Summary

This doctoral position at the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) focuses on X-ray radiometry and dimensional nanometrology within a European cooperation project. Based in Berlin-Adlershof, the successful candidate will conduct experiments at the BESSY II synchrotron radiation source to characterize nanomedicine components, specifically determining the size, concentration, and structural integrity of nanoparticles. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing traceable Small-Angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS) experiments, developing quantitative models for data interpretation, and utilizing complementary laboratory methods like analytical centrifugation and DLS. This role is highly attractive for researchers seeking to focus entirely on their dissertation without teaching obligations, supported by an international team and a dedicated doctoral program. The position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of physics, chemistry, and pharmacy while contributing to world-leading measurement standards.
