Job Summary

As a Public Management Administrator at the Regional Council of Freiburg, you will play a critical role in the legal supervision of large district towns and rural districts. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve reviewing municipal budget statutes, economic plans for municipal enterprises, and local foundations. You will decide on credit authorizations, evaluate the admissibility of municipal corporate investments, and provide legal counsel to local authorities on municipal and administrative law. Additionally, you will handle inter-municipal cooperation, cross-border partnerships, and process petitions and complaints. This position is ideal for a professional with a background in the German higher administrative service who enjoys independent, responsible work and has a keen interest in financial and local political issues. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor of Arts or Diploma in Public Management, or an equivalent qualification enabling entry into the higher administrative service (Laufbahnbefähigung gehobener Verwaltungsdienst).

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the higher administrative service (gehobener Verwaltungsdienst)
  • Proven experience in municipal law and general administrative law
  • Experience in processing legal complaints and petitions
  • Experience in advising local authorities or public bodies
