Job Summary

As a Software Developer for Underwater Systems at TKMS GmbH, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of software development for submarines and naval vessels. Your daily activities will involve evaluating, initiating, and implementing software activities based on complex architectures. You will reduce system complexity through decomposition, create implementation concepts, and design software artifacts. A significant portion of the role includes creating system, component, and unit-level specifications using DOORS for both requirements and testing. You will work closely within a development team to coordinate tasks, solve problems, and ensure that software architecture elements meet strict time, quality, and cost constraints. Required Skills

Education

University degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or vocational training as an IT Specialist with advanced technical college certification and extensive professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in software development within the defense or maritime sector
  • Experience in creating SMART requirements and technical specifications
  • Proven track record in modern C++ development and low-level hardware programming
  • Experience with software decomposition and architectural design
