Job Summary

This role within the Social Affairs Department of the Leverkusen City Administration focuses on the rigorous oversight and auditing of financial transactions. As an Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for verifying payment processes for both content and accuracy, ensuring compliance with anti-corruption guidelines, and managing cost reimbursement claims with third-party providers. Beyond auditing, the position involves providing legal consultation to the department, reviewing current case law, and handling legal appeals. Required Skills

Education

Completion of Administrative Training II (Verwaltungslehrgang II), a University Degree (Bachelor/Diploma) in Law or Business Administration, or the First State Examination in Law (Diplom-Jurist).

Experience

  • Professional experience in internal auditing or financial transaction verification
  • Proven expertise in German Social Security Laws (SGB) and related administrative regulations
  • Experience in handling legal appeals and interpreting case law
  • Experience in public administration or municipal services is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex legal and financial matters
