Job Summary

This role at Jena University Hospital involves working within the Department of Radiotherapy and Radio-Oncology to ensure the highest standards of patient care through precise physical radiation planning. You will be responsible for equipment maintenance, dosimetry, and quality assurance across all clinical areas. A significant portion of the role focuses on radiation protection and the administration of R&V systems. You will work with cutting-edge technology including Varian Truebeam, Ethos for adaptive radiotherapy, and Brainlab ExacTrac Dynamic systems. The position is highly collaborative, requiring interdisciplinary cooperation and the development of new clinical methods such as stereotaxy, IGRT, and 3D-planned brachytherapy. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in Medical Physics or Medical Engineering; Specialist knowledge (Fachkunde) according to the Radiation Protection Directive in Medicine.

Experience

  • Experience in physical radiation planning and quality assurance within a clinical setting
  • Previous experience with IT systems in a medical or laboratory environment
  • Demonstrated experience in interdisciplinary collaboration and independent, conscientious work
