Job Summary
This role involves providing comprehensive IT support and client management for the Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family in Berlin. As a member of the IT team, you will be responsible for the operational management of all client systems, including desktops, notebooks, and peripherals. Your daily tasks will include installing firmware and operating systems, managing objects in Microsoft Active Directory, and providing second-level support. Additionally, you will oversee digital media devices such as video conferencing systems and digital panels, ensuring they are properly installed and that staff are trained in their use. The position also includes managing the printing environment and serving as the first point of contact for user concerns via the Help Desk. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an IT Systems Electronician, IT Specialist for System Integration, or a comparable qualification/equivalent professional experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in the support and operation of IT workstations
- Experience in managing client systems including hardware and software installation
- Experience in handling user requests via a Help Desk or ticketing system
- Experience in managing external service providers and inventory systems
- Experience with digital media devices and printing infrastructure
Languages
Additional
- Must meet requirements for the second entry level of career group 1 of the general administrative service (for civil servants). German language proficiency at level B2 is mandatory. Location: Berlin.
