As a Research Associate, you will explore innovative control concepts for power converters in electrical energy generation and distribution. Your daily work will involve comparing the short-term behavior of various control strategies during grid short circuits and phase jumps, as well as analyzing the accuracy of RMS simulations versus EMT simulations. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Master's, Diploma, or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, preferably with excellent results.

Experience

  • Professional experience in power electronics and control engineering
  • Experience with grid-forming converter control systems
  • Preferred practical experience in simulating converter controls using Matlab/PLECS or PSCAD
  • Experience in electrical energy generation and distribution research
