Job Summary

This part-time position (20 hours/week) at the University of Jena involves designing and implementing a cross-location monitoring and evaluation system for the Thuringian University Startup Network (StarTH). You will be responsible for measuring the success and impact of university spin-offs by defining indicator sets, conducting regular surveys among university members, and organizing consistent data collection across partner institutions. Day-to-day, you will analyze data for reports and dashboards, support startup consulting on evidence-based logic, and drive the technical implementation of evaluation systems. The role is unique for its interdisciplinary nature, connecting academia and entrepreneurship within a major regional network. It offers a stable public service contract (TV-L E13) until the end of 2029, providing a significant opportunity to shape the startup ecosystem in Thuringia through data-driven insights and process optimization.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Master's or equivalent) in Economics, Social Sciences, Data Science, Information Science, Business Informatics, or a related field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in evaluation, monitoring, controlling, or social research
  • Experience in data-based reporting, ideally within a university or academic context
  • Professional experience in the startup and technology transfer sector is advantageous
  • Experience with survey tools and data analysis software
  • Proven experience in interdisciplinary and cross-location collaboration
