Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for the independent and accurate processing of payroll for approximately 6,500 employees within the Diocese of Speyer. Your day-to-day activities will involve maintaining personnel master data, managing digital payroll controls (DEKO), and calculating sick pay while ensuring full compliance with tax and social security regulations. You will serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding all payroll-related inquiries and act as a liaison to external authorities and social security providers. Required Skills

Education

Completed commercial vocational training (e.g., Social Security Specialist, Tax Assistant, or Office Management) ideally supplemented by further training/certification in Payroll.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in payroll accounting
  • Professional experience in calculating social security and wage tax contributions
  • Experience in communicating with health insurance providers and social security agencies
  • Experience working with collective bargaining agreements (ideally TVöD-VKA)
