Job Summary

As a Cabin Systems and Avionics Layout Engineer at Schmitt Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in developing safety-critical aviation hardware. Your daily responsibilities will include taking projects from the initial concept and certification phases through to serial production. This involves designing hardware architectures, performing circuit calculations and simulations, and overseeing the integration and verification of printed circuit boards (PCBs). You will work within agile, interdisciplinary teams, collaborating closely with suppliers, procurement, and manufacturing departments. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Proven track record in requirements engineering, verification, and validation processes
  • Experience working within agile, interdisciplinary development teams
  • Practical knowledge of hardware production and manufacturing processes
