Job Summary

This role involves shaping sustainable development within the Thuringian Ministry for Environment, Energy, Nature Conservation, and Forestry. As a Sustainability Policy Advisor, you will be responsible for analyzing and implementing innovative approaches to sustainability across Thuringia, with a specific focus on non-formal education (BNE), sustainable business practices, and regional development. Day-to-day tasks include drafting strategic concepts, speeches, and cabinet templates for leadership, as well as coordinating the Voluntary Ecological Year (FÖJ). You will serve as a key liaison between national and European stakeholders, representing the ministry in expert committees and managing funding programs. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or University Diploma in Administrative Sciences, Natural Sciences, Sustainability Management, or Regional Development.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in public administration
  • Professional experience in sustainability policy at German, European, or international levels
  • Experience in the implementation and management of funding programs
  • Experience in project management or project leadership is preferred
  • Experience in drafting official statements, cabinet templates, and strategic concepts
