Job Summary

This role involves providing critical technical support for the Federal Intelligence Service (BND) in Rheinhausen. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of antenna systems and network control technology, including emergency power diesels and UPS systems. The day-to-day work includes monitoring technical facilities, managing faults, and supporting the modernization and integration of new system components. You will also create system documentation and prototypes to ensure operational readiness. This position is unique as it offers the stability of the German public service (TVöD 9b) within a high-security environment focused on foreign and security policy. It is an ideal role for a detail-oriented technician who enjoys a mix of hands-on maintenance, system monitoring, and technical development in a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a State-Certified Technician in the fields of Electrical Engineering, IT, or Computer Science (or completion within the next 12 months).

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical engineering or IT systems
  • Experience in the maintenance and servicing of technical installations such as antenna systems or UPS
  • Experience in system modernization and component integration
  • Experience in creating technical system documentation
  • Experience with PLC and automation systems is preferred
