Job Summary

This role is part of a specialized project group focused on the early detection of foreign information manipulation to protect democratic integrity in Germany. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for building the technical infrastructure for a 'Data Lake' dedicated to disinformation incidents and developing prototypes for the project's technical framework. Day-to-day activities include tool-based data collection from social media platforms, performing statistical analysis, and visualizing results to support strategic decision-making. You will integrate various data sources and collaborate closely with analysts to test new methodologies for identifying foreign narratives. This position is unique as it combines high-level technical data engineering with national security objectives.
