Job Summary

As a Senior Quality Assurance Manager at Eli Lilly's new high-tech manufacturing site in Alzey, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and leading the QA organization for device assembly and packaging. Initially, you will serve as the primary QA contact for commissioning and qualification workstreams, ensuring that all equipment and systems meet stringent quality standards through technical oversight and document approval. As the site transitions to routine operations, you will evolve into a leadership role, managing a diverse team of QA professionals on the shop floor. Your daily activities will involve fostering a strong quality culture, implementing 'Quality on the Floor' programs, and collaborating with cross-functional technical teams to ensure patient safety and product excellence. This is a unique opportunity to shape a greenfield pharmaceutical production site from the ground up, implementing cutting-edge technologies and building a high-performing quality team within a global healthcare leader.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related scientific/technical field equivalent to a Chemist (Chemiker) qualification.

Experience

  • Professional leadership experience in a pharmaceutical quality assurance environment
  • Extensive experience in commissioning and qualification (C&Q) of pharmaceutical production systems
  • Proven track record in managing technical oversight and document approval within a GMP setting
  • Experience in recruiting and building diverse technical teams
  • Experience in device assembly and packaging processes within the healthcare industry
