Job Summary

As a (Senior) Data Engineer at Deichmann, you will play a pivotal role in evolving the company's Azure Lakehouse platform to support one of Europe's largest footwear retailers. Your daily responsibilities include developing, operating, and optimizing scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks and Spark. You will be responsible for the end-to-end data lifecycle, from integrating diverse source systems to implementing automated ETL/ELT processes with robust monitoring and error handling. Collaborating closely with Data Scientists and Analysts, you will translate business requirements into high-quality data models using Kimball or Data Vault methodologies. Required Skills

Education

University degree in (Business) Informatics, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Proven experience working in Cloud environments, specifically Microsoft Azure
  • Extensive experience in the productive operation of data pipelines
  • Experience with modern data integration concepts and automated monitoring/logging
  • Practical experience in translating business requirements into technical data structures
