Job Summary
As a Digital Systems Manager at Saarland University, you will play a pivotal role in the institution's digital transformation strategy. Operating within the Digitalization Staff Office, your daily activities will involve the conceptual development, administration, and technical maintenance of Document Management Systems (DMS). You will act as a key consultant for various departments, helping to restructure administrative processes and implement automated workflows. The role requires a hands-on technical approach to customizing systems, managing interfaces, and ensuring system availability through troubleshooting and quality assurance testing. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a comparable degree; alternatively, a completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker) with relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in customizing, maintaining, and operating complex DMS applications
- Professional experience in process restructuring and advisory roles within a digital environment
- Experience in coordinating with external service providers and technical partners
- Proven track record in system administration and interface development

- Foreign university degrees must be validated for equivalence by the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB). The position is initially fixed-term for 2 years with the prospect of permanent employment. Full-time (100%) or part-time employment is possible.
