Job Summary

As a Research Associate, you will drive innovation in ultrafast laser technology by expanding the group's capabilities in high-speed detection of broadband, single-cycle terahertz (THz) sources. Your daily responsibilities involve developing THz sources, conducting theoretical modeling and simulations, and designing fast, sensitive detectors for imaging applications. A primary focus will be implementing THz generation via an intracavity approach using a 2-µm dual-comb laser system, building upon existing 1-µm proof-of-concept work. You will utilize Asynchronous Optical Sampling (ASOPS) to achieve detection at repetition rates of approximately 100 MHz. This role is ideal for a proactive researcher who enjoys bridging the gap between fundamental laser physics and practical imaging applications. The position offers a unique opportunity to work with state-of-the-art dual-comb systems within a specialized scientific mission, contributing to the understanding of chemical, biological, and physical processes through advanced light generation.
