Job Summary

The Overhead Catenary System Planner will be responsible for the planning, design, and structural analysis of overhead contact line systems, including managing small-scale projects within the catenary maintenance department. Key day-to-day tasks involve creating detailed CAD plans, preparing specifications, managing tenders, and performing static calculations and dimensioning for mast foundations. This role also supports construction management on-site, conducts scheduling and quality control, and participates in invoice verification, cost calculation, and financial monitoring, including profitability analysis. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechatronics, coupled with initial practical experience, ideally in overhead line construction. The position requires flexibility for night work, participation in on-call duty, and adherence to specific health and safety requirements for railway operations, offering a stable, full-time contract within Stuttgart's public transport authority (SSB).
