Job Summary

This critical role supports the public transport infrastructure in Stuttgart by focusing on the planning, tendering, and construction management of power supply and lighting systems for light rail stops. The professional will be responsible for developing preliminary and execution plans, drafting comprehensive specifications and tenders, and overseeing the entire procurement process, including supporting contract awards. Key daily tasks involve performing complex technical calculations, detailed cost estimations, and rigorous control over timelines, quality, and budget. The position requires serving as the on-site Construction Manager, ensuring smooth execution of projects. Ideal candidates possess a background in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics, coupled with hands-on experience in planning and managing 400V and 10kV electrical systems. Reliability is paramount, as the role includes participation in on-call duty to ensure continuous operational readiness.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics, or comparable qualification; ideally, additional completed electrical engineering training.

Experience

  • Theoretical and practical knowledge in planning electrical 50 Hz systems (400V and 10kV)
  • Professional experience in project management of electrical systems
  • Experience in cost calculation and on-site construction management
