Job Summary

This role involves acting as a key IT specialist within the Competence Center Application Lifecycle Management (CCALM), focusing on advancing the digital capabilities of the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr). The Data & MLOps Architect will be responsible for designing and evolving the company-wide data and interface architecture, including DWH, Data Lake, and ETL/ELT processes. A core function is the design and establishment of robust MLOps architectures, covering the entire ML lifecycle from training and deployment to CI/CD and monitoring of machine learning models. Candidates must possess a degree in IT or equivalent professional experience, coupled with several years of expertise in data architecture, data engineering, and analytics platforms. The position requires fundamental knowledge of MLOps concepts, experience with cloud/hybrid architectures, and a strong understanding of data governance, security, and privacy, offering a chance to contribute significantly to Germany's national security.

Education

Completed IT degree or comparable vocational training with relevant professional experience

Experience

  • Several years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, and analytics platforms
  • Professional experience in evaluating new technologies and supporting Proofs of Concept (PoCs)
  • Experience managing external service providers
