Job Summary

Join HENSOLDT, a leading European defense industry company, as a Safety and Environmental Engineer in Oberkochen. This role is crucial for managing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) across German sites, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and driving safety culture. Day-to-day responsibilities include consulting management on occupational safety and environmental protection, conducting risk assessments using SAP, analyzing accident causes, and implementing preventative measures. You will also perform HSE audits, participate in integrated management systems (ISO 14001, 45001, 50001), and manage hazardous materials, including legal compliance for import/export. The ideal candidate holds a degree in safety or environmental engineering, is a certified occupational safety specialist, and possesses strong knowledge of German occupational and environmental protection laws, along with fluency in both German and English. This position requires travel to other German locations and offers the opportunity to shape the company's sustainability strategy.
