Job Summary

HENSOLDT, a leading European defense and security technology company, is seeking a Safety and Environmental Engineer to join their Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) central department in Oberkochen. This critical role involves advising management and departments on occupational safety, environmental, and health protection, ensuring compliance with legal requirements across German sites. Day-to-day tasks include conducting safety assessments of machinery, creating risk assessments in SAP, performing accident cause analyses, and participating in HSE audits and site inspections. The engineer will also be integral to maintaining the integrated management system (ISO 14001, 45001, 50001), managing hazardous materials (including legal compliance for import/export), and implementing safety culture and awareness campaigns. The ideal candidate holds a degree in safety, environmental engineering, or chemistry, is certified as an Occupational Safety Specialist, and possesses excellent German and English language skills, along with experience in hazardous materials management and SAP EHSM.
