Job Summary

This crucial role involves joining the start-up team for a new high-tech pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Alzey, Germany, focusing on injectable (parenteral) medicines. The Quality Assurance Technician will be instrumental in qualifying the new site and ensuring all processes and products consistently meet stringent quality standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include on-site quality monitoring during production shifts, covering material/equipment preparation, formulation, aseptic filling, and visual inspection. The technician will also handle initial deviation decisions, participate in investigations, manage minor deviation investigations, and support batch release processes. Key requirements include a relevant scientific or technical background, at least two years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with QA/QC exposure in production oversight, and fluency in German. This position offers a unique chance to define the quality culture of a brand-new facility and work with cutting-edge technology.

Required Skills

Education

Vocational training in a scientific or technical field, or a Bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences, Engineering, or a pharmaceutically related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years in the pharmaceutical industry, with specific QA or QC experience in production monitoring
  • Experience in parenteral production environments (equipment/material preparation, formulation, aseptic filling, and/or visual inspection) including hands-on QA experience on the floor (preferred)
  • Experience with GMP documents, electronic batch documents, and deviation processing (preferred)
