Job Summary

This specialist role, based in the Office of the Bavarian Digital Association at the University of Passau, focuses on driving the digital transformation across state universities in Bavaria. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and developing a cross-university project portfolio for administrative digitalization, translating strategic goals into a structured digitalization roadmap. Day-to-day tasks include initiating, coordinating, and managing these complex projects, building a digital knowledge platform to foster networking among stakeholders, and consolidating IT system requirements shared by Bavarian universities. The role requires strong analytical skills to interpret and communicate the impact of key legal requirements (such as OZG, RegMoG) to various target groups. Key qualifications include a Master's degree in a relevant technical or legal field, solid experience in the IT environment, including familiarity with ITIL and project management, and fluent German communication skills. This position offers a challenging opportunity to influence the future of higher education administration, with the potential for conversion to a permanent contract after an initial two-year fixed term.

Required Skills

Education

University degree at Master's level in Informatics, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Legal Informatics, Legal Tech, or a comparable course of study

Experience

  • Solid professional experience in the IT environment
  • Experience with ITIL, IT project management, IT project controlling, or IT system support
  • Experience in the digitalization of public administration and university management is advantageous
