Job Summary
This role involves supporting the Vice Presidents responsible for Academic Infrastructure/IT and Sustainability, and International Affairs and Diversity at the University of Passau. Day-to-day tasks include developing and implementing university-wide concepts, providing conceptual and substantive preparation and follow-up for executive decisions, meetings, and appointments, and coordinating central projects using structured project management techniques. The successful candidate will also be responsible for drafting speeches and textual contributions, and maintaining communication and networking with internal and external stakeholders. Key requirements include a university degree (Master's level or equivalent), professional experience in higher education administration, and strong foundational knowledge in IT, Sustainability, International Affairs, and Diversity. This is a challenging and varied full-time position offering the opportunity to contribute directly to the strategic development of a major German university.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (Master's, Diploma, State Examination) in fields such as Administrative Sciences, Communication Sciences, International Management, Computer Science, or Sustainability
Experience
- Professional experience in higher education administration or a comparable environment
- Experience working directly for university or faculty management is advantageous
- Experience in creating strategic concepts, reports, and speech texts is beneficial

- This is a fixed-term contract until March 31, 2029, based on Section 14 (1) Sentence 2 No. 4 of the Part-Time and Fixed-Term Employment Act (TzBfG).
