This role involves supporting the Finance and Controlling department at the University of Göttingen, focusing heavily on financial controlling, cost and performance accounting, and reporting. Day-to-day tasks include managing study quality funds and resources from the 'Future Contract: Strengthening Study and Teaching' initiative, maintaining databases, assisting in developing management control instruments, and supporting data analysis. The ideal candidate will possess a background in administration or economics, be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and other standard Office applications, and demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and cooperative skills. This position offers an excellent opportunity to engage in diverse and challenging processes within a public university setting, covering areas like capacity calculation, student controlling, research controlling, and risk management, serving as a key service unit for the entire institution.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachangestellte) or equivalent commercial training (Kauffrau/Kaufmann), or a Bachelor's degree (e.g., in Economics)

Experience

  • Professional experience in the mentioned areas of responsibility (advantageous)
  • Professional experience (typically one year) if holding a Bachelor's degree in Economics or equivalent
