Job Summary
This role involves serving as an IT Architect within the IT Architecture and IT Governance department for the City of Kiel, focusing on designing and optimizing the city's IT infrastructure and system landscape. The architect will analyze existing infrastructure, identify improvement potential, and develop comprehensive concepts and standards aligned with the overall IT strategy and Digital Governance framework. Key responsibilities include planning and implementing modernization measures, overseeing IT projects from an architectural perspective, and ensuring robust IT security and data protection standards are met. The ideal candidate holds a relevant university degree and possesses extensive professional experience in IT architecture and Enterprise Architecture Management within large organizations, demonstrating expertise in integration, software development, data governance, and modern architecture approaches like CI/CD and Cloud Infrastructures.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor or FH-Diplom) with a minimum standard study period of 6 semesters in fields such as Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Physics, Information and Communication Technology, or Electrical Engineering. Required knowledge must be verifiable through certificates, further training, references, or manufacturer certifications.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in IT architecture (required for EG 12 TVöD classification)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in IT architecture (required for EG 13 TVöD classification)
- Professional experience with IT architectures and Enterprise Architecture Management in large organizations or corporations
