Job Summary

This role involves driving the development and establishment of the research data management concept within the ROOTS Cluster of Excellence's Data Management and Data Science Platform. The Data and Project Manager will analyze needs, develop solution models, and define system architecture for digital systems, taking responsibility for implementing new digital solutions for researchers in close collaboration with subject matter experts. Key responsibilities include creating models for the digital handling of research data and supporting Principal Investigators (PIs) in conducting practical training and workshops on data management for Early Career Researchers. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Computer Science or a relevant field and possesses experience in data management (e.g., FAIR principles) and project management related to complex scientific data. This is a part-time (50% / 19.35 hours per week) fixed-term position until December 31, 2032, offering a unique opportunity to shape the digital future of interdisciplinary research in archaeology, natural sciences, and humanities.
