Job Summary

This role is for a dedicated Development Engineer specializing in the certification of photovoltaic and battery inverters, with a strong focus on the US market. The successful candidate will be instrumental in creating specifications based on grid operator guidelines and American standards (primarily UL, IEEE, and CSA). Day-to-day tasks include contributing to requirement specifications, conducting and overseeing norm-compliant measurements for certification (especially grid coupling in the USA), coordinating with external testing institutes, and performing in-house measurements. The role also involves developing certification-relevant inverter simulation models, actively participating in standardization committees, and providing technical support to other departments. Regular collaboration with US colleagues, including occasional travel, is an integral part of this dynamic position, making it an attractive opportunity for an engineer passionate about renewable energy and international standards.
