Job Summary
This role involves providing high-level administrative and strategic support to the Operations Management and the Head of Commercial Services, including their function as Managing Directors of the wastewater and sludge utilization associations. The assistant will independently manage administration, scheduling, communication, and quality assurance, acting as a central coordinator for internal and external inquiries, including those from the city council and citizens. Key responsibilities include preparing reports, presentations, and decision papers, as well as leading and coordinating internal projects such as office relocations and team development measures. The ideal candidate requires a background in public administration or a comparable commercial qualification, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in MS Office, coupled with knowledge of contract, commercial, personnel, and labor law. This is a crucial coordination role within the municipal waste management services of Ulm.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Certified Administrative Specialist (Angestelltenprüfung II equivalent), or a comparable commercial qualification
Experience
- Demonstrated experience in an assistance function role
- Experience in leading and coordinating operational projects (e.g., relocations, property acquisition)
- Experience in organizing and coordinating cross-departmental organizational matters
- Experience in providing technical guidance to employees (e.g., building maintenance, reception staff)
