Job Summary

This role involves acting as the technical specialist within the Reporting Team, focusing on the data-driven, scalable, and automated implementation of power plant technical balancing models. You will utilize deep domain knowledge in energy generation to translate physical, process engineering, and regulatory requirements into robust data models and calculation logic. Key responsibilities include modeling comprehensive energy, fuel, and water balances, analyzing operational states of generation plants, and implementing classic allocation methods (e.g., Carnot, work value method). The expert will actively drive the digitalization of generation and distribution processes, ensuring standardized and auditable balancing models, and supporting annual audit processes, including new mandates like CSRD reporting. This position requires close collaboration with Data and IT teams, project leadership, and a proactive approach to shaping the energy transition in Berlin.

Education

University degree in Energy Technology, Physics, Engineering, or comparable technical fields

Experience

  • University degree in Energy Technology, Physics, Engineering, or comparable fields
  • Professional experience with process and electrical engineering contexts across the energy value chain
  • Professional experience in mathematical modeling of energy technology processes
  • Professional experience in data processing derived from power plant processes
  • Experience in supporting audit processes (e.g., financial audit, certifications)
