Doctoral Researcher in Physiological Chemistry and Pathobiochemistry | Doktorand (m/w/d)
Universitätsklinikum Münster
Job Summary
This doctoral position focuses on investigating fundamental developmental biology mechanisms, specifically the role of the Hedgehog signaling pathway and the transporter Dispatched in cellular homeostasis, cholesterol regulation, and protection against cellular stress/aging. The successful candidate will join the research group of Prof. Dr. Kay Grobe, applying advanced molecular, cellular, and biophysical techniques, often utilizing the fruit fly *Drosophila melanogaster* and modern microscopy to test hypotheses. Key responsibilities include conceptually developing and experimentally driving a specific research project, alongside a minor commitment to teaching medical and biology students (approximately one week per semester). This role offers intensive collaboration, secure DFG funding, and the opportunity to learn a wide range of advanced biochemical and cell biological methodologies within a supportive, interdisciplinary environment, including close exchange with the University of Nice.
