Job Summary
This is a leadership opportunity within the City of Hamm's Building Administration Office, seeking a motivated professional to head the Accounting Department. The role involves the target-oriented management of approximately eight employees, focusing on team-oriented and appreciative leadership. Key responsibilities include coordinating and managing the budget for Department VI offices, especially concerning grant and subsidy programs, and driving strategic development through digitalization initiatives like e-invoicing and e-guarantees. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, relevant experience in municipal accounting (NKF), and either a public administration qualification or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field like Business Administration (BWL). This position offers a secure, permanent contract with flexible hours and opportunities for mobile working, contributing directly to public services within the city.
Required Skills
Education
Civil service qualification for the first entry level of career group 2 of the general administrative service (former higher service) OR Certified Administrative Specialist (AII/VL II) OR Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Business Administration)
Experience
- Relevant experience in municipal accounting (NKF)
- Leadership and decision-making competence required
- Experience in coordinating and managing budgets, especially for grant programs
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to acquire knowledge of SAP ERP (SAP S/4 HANA) quickly; Basic knowledge of VOB (German Construction Contract Procedures) and HOAI (German Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers) is desirable; Must meet specific civil service or administrative qualifications for NRW.
