Job Summary
The University of Bremen is seeking an engaged and proactive Assistant to the IT Director (CIO) within the IT Service Center, the central backbone of the university's digital infrastructure. This role involves comprehensive administrative support, organizational management, and active participation in IT projects. Key responsibilities include managing the director's calendar and communication, handling general correspondence (partially in English), conducting procurement processes, and assisting with personnel matters like job postings and staffing. Furthermore, the assistant will manage the department's website, maintain project and system documentation, and track project plans. The ideal candidate will possess relevant professional experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency in standard office software and content management systems, contributing to a reliable and continuous IT service for 3,500 employees and 18,000 students.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an Administrative Specialist, or completed commercial vocational training, or comparable professional training relevant to the tasks, or eligibility for the Second Entry Level of Career Group 1 in 'General Services'.
Experience
- Professional experience as an assistant to a leadership function
- Experience in project work
- Preferably experience in a university or higher education context
