Job Summary

This Senior System Administrator role, based in Hildesheim, involves the comprehensive planning, administration, and optimization of the city's critical IT infrastructure, serving approximately 1,300 workstations across 60 municipal properties. Key responsibilities include managing virtualized server landscapes, implementing and maintaining complex network infrastructures (LAN/WAN, Firewalls, VPN), and overseeing sophisticated Storage Area Network (SAN/NAS) systems, including capacity planning and performance tuning. The successful candidate will also lead IT projects, coordinate the infrastructure administration team, and define robust backup and recovery strategies.
