Job Summary

This role involves leading the design, expansion, and reconstruction of the municipal inland port and its associated infrastructure in Hildesheim. As a Project Lead, you will manage infrastructure projects through all HOAI service phases (1-9), from initial planning and awarding of contracts to on-site construction supervision and final accounting. You will be responsible for preparing funding applications, coordinating with external engineering firms, and presenting planning results to political committees. The position is situated within the Civil Engineering, Traffic, and Greenery department, specifically in the Road Design and Construction division. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) in Civil Engineering, preferably with a specialization in Hydraulic Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Special Civil Engineering.

Experience

  • Professional experience in civil engineering with a focus on hydraulic, structural, or special civil engineering
  • Experience in project management for infrastructure projects across HOAI phases 1-5 and 6-9
  • Experience in preparing tender documents and awarding engineering services
  • Experience in coordinating with authorities, utility companies, and external engineering offices
  • Professional experience in hydraulic or structural engineering is preferred

  • Valid Class B (or Class 3) driver's license required. Must be available for at least 35 hours per week if working part-time.
