Job Summary
The City of Potsdam is seeking a dedicated Department Controller for the Public Health Service department to manage financial planning, execution, and strategic steering. This role involves advising department leadership on budget matters, coordinating financial, performance, and service planning, and producing essential reports, analyses, and profitability assessments. Key responsibilities also include overseeing reporting, cost and performance accounting, and supporting year-end closing and consolidation activities. The ideal candidate must possess a background in business administration, finance, or public administration, coupled with professional experience in controlling and cost accounting. Expertise in standard controlling instruments, such as cost calculation and profitability analysis, is essential.
