Job Summary

The City of Bochum is seeking an engaged IT Architect to drive the digital transformation of the municipal administration. This role is central to developing and implementing comprehensive IT architecture strategies, covering Cloud, SaaS, and on-premise solutions, and guiding crucial make-or-buy decisions. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and implementing IT systems tailored to the city's needs, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure, and strictly adhering to IT security and data protection requirements. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in IT architecture, complex system implementation, and expertise in IT security and infrastructure. Qualifications include a degree in Computer Science or a related IT field, coupled with knowledge of Project Management, ITIL, and Agile methodologies like Scrum. This is an attractive, permanent position offering flexible working conditions, including up to 80% home office, within a modern, service-oriented public administration environment.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/FH) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or another IT-related discipline. For civil servants: Qualification for Career Group 2, First Entry Level of the general administrative service.
