Job Summary

This role is for a dedicated Civil Engineer within the City of Bochum's Civil Engineering Department, focusing on the new construction, expansion, and modification of roads, paths, and public squares. The successful candidate will manage comprehensive road construction projects from contract awarding and site supervision of external contractors through to acceptance and billing. Key responsibilities include coordinating construction measures with various authorities, utility providers, and transport operators, while acting as the central contact person for residents and fulfilling the client role towards contractors. The position requires a degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on road and civil engineering, construction management, or transportation, coupled with fundamental knowledge of procurement law (VOB), contract management, and process control. Proficiency in the iTWO tendering and billing software is desired, making this an excellent opportunity to manage critical infrastructure projects in a major urban center.
