Job Summary

This role is for an innovative Project Lead passionate about driving the digitalization of public administration within the Bavarian State Office for Taxes, a key IT service provider for tax administration and justice. The Project Lead will be responsible for the planning, control, organization, and steering of complex IT projects, often with national or cross-state relevance. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating work orders, leading the project team, performing risk analysis, managing stakeholder requirements, and coordinating interfaces with other departments (e.g., IT security and data protection). The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in an IT field (or equivalent experience) and possesses a foundational understanding of technical systems and administrative processes, coupled with excellent communication and leadership potential. This position offers a secure, future-oriented role contributing directly to the financial foundation of the community through process automation.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent FH Diploma) in IT studies (e.g., Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology)

Experience

  • Professional experience in project management (desirable, ideally certified)
  • Professional experience demonstrating comparable knowledge and skills if lacking a formal IT degree
  • Experience in coordinating project-related tenders (desirable)
