Job Summary

This role is a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Kubernetes Engineer to focus on the operation and continuous development of private cloud Kubernetes infrastructures within a critical public sector IT service provider. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving innovative, automated configuration processes and embracing DevOps principles, moving away from manual operations. Day-to-day tasks include the design, operation, and administration of container infrastructures, specifically using Kubernetes and OpenShift for various professional applications in tax, justice, and AI infrastructure (including GPU support). You will be responsible for implementing GitOps and DevOps processes via CI/CD pipelines, participating in agile projects (Scrum), and managing incident and problem resolution (ITIL). Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree (University of Applied Sciences Diploma) in IT fields (Informatics, Information and Communication Technology, Computer Science, or similar)

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT is required if lacking a relevant degree
  • Basic knowledge and practical application of Kubernetes (ideally OpenShift) or Linux is required
  • Experience with Monitoring and Alerting Tools (e.g., Splunk, Prometheus) is advantageous
  • Experience in applying GitOps and Infrastructure as Code is beneficial
  • Scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, Bash) is beneficial
