This role involves working as a Tax-Affiliated IT Specialist in Munich, focusing on the analysis of functional requirements and their implementation within the internal systems of the tax administration. A key responsibility will be the replacement of existing legacy program parts, currently written in Cobol, by newly developed Microservices utilizing Java and Java EE. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing requirements, developing new applications, maintaining and testing existing software, coordinating closely with the tax department, and responding to tickets and inquiries. Candidates should possess a degree in MINT (Mathematics, Informatics, Natural Sciences, Technology) or Finance/Taxation, or a relevant professional qualification in IT or Finance/Taxation. Strong German language skills (C1 level) are mandatory. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent, e.g., Diploma FH) in MINT (Mathematics, Informatics, Natural Sciences, Technology) or Finance and Taxation; OR Completed professional training in the field of Informatics or Finance and Taxation.

Experience

  • Professional experience in analyzing functional requirements and implementing them in software applications
  • Professional experience in replacing existing programs and developing new Java/Java EE applications
  • Willingness to familiarize oneself with old and new IT procedures
  • Desirable: Programming knowledge in Java
