Job Summary

This role involves supporting the energy transition in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern by focusing on high-quality examination and assessment of immission control concerns related to renewable energy, particularly wind power. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and updating the Wind Energy Cadastre for MV, and rigorously reviewing and evaluating forecasts and measurement reports (noise, shadow flicker, light) to ensure compliance with public law requirements, especially TA Lärm. Key activities include modeling permit applications for wind turbines using GIS and specialized acoustic software, assessing departmental involvement as a public interest body, and training lower immission control authorities. The position requires a technical or environmental law degree and proven professional experience in immission control, making it ideal for a detail-oriented professional passionate about environmental regulation and sustainable energy.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (FH Diploma, Bachelor) in a technical-scientific or ecological-environmental law field, such as Engineering Acoustics, Environmental Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Physical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Geomatics.

Experience

  • At least one year of professional experience in immission control in business or administration
  • Experience in applying GIS software and database systems (desirable)
  • Experience in using modeling software (desirable)
